Yesterday and Today

Yesterday and Today

A breeze from yesterday o’erwhelms me.
Memory’s almost too much to bear,
But just when loss seems everything
I turn around — and you are there.

What was she, what I, and what are we
That love should be the air
That bathed those golden yesterdays
And makes today so fair?
